 Beacon Essential Seven Recipe competition

1. The Competition is open only to bona fide Beacon members based in the United Kingdom and their employees aged 18 or over except employees of the Promoter and any publicly funded bodies, their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the Promotion. Establishments in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man are excluded. Employees must seek the permission of their employer to take part.

2. Closing date for receipt of entries is 5pm (GMT) on 31/07/08.

3. Entry must be made using an official entry form available electronically at www.unileverfoodsolutions.co.uk . Entrants must complete the entry form in full and include their recipe for a dish which must contain a ready to use sauce from the Essential Seven range. The recipe should state the ingredients and preparation instructions. Send your completed entry form via email to Beacon.Competition@unilever.com or via post FAO Petrina Liyanage, Unilever Foodsolutions, Brooke House, Manor Royal, RH10 9RQ.

4. The Entrant’s recipe for a dish should be the Entrant’s own work and shall be original and shall not have been previously published or exploited in any part and will not infringe any copyright or any other right whatsoever of any third party.

5. Entrants can only enter one recipe per entry form. Entrants can enter as many times as they like, so long as they abide by these terms and conditions. However no entrant may win more than one Prize.

6. No entries from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete, illegible or corrupted entries or those not in accordance with the entry instructions will be accepted. No responsibility is accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of network, computer hardware or software failures of any kind. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

7. Each Entrant will receive a free Gift - a double edged Victorinox peeler, which will be sent no later than 30/08/08 to the address indicated on the Entrant’s entry form.

8. A panel of judges including an independent judge will judge each Entrant’s recipe received before the Closing Date using the following criteria: imagination in incorporating the Knorr sauce, aptness and originality. The 7 Entrants who in the opinion of the panel have the 7 best recipes will each win one of the Prizes. The decision of the panel is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

9. The Prizes are comprised of 7 personalised Windsor chef jackets and 7 Global® GS5 Vegetable Knives.

10. The recipes by all the Prize Winners will be published on the Beacon intranet.

11. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any Prize for an alternative of equal or greater value. There is no cash alternative available for any of the Prizes or Gifts.

12. All Prize Winners will be notified by telephone no later than 30/08/08. All Prize Winners must claim their prize within 28 days of the notification. If any Prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these terms and conditions.

13. Accepting any Prize may give rise to tax liabilities which are the responsibility of the Prize Winners.

14. The Winners details (name, name and county of catering establishment) will be made available on request to those enclosing a stamped SAE to “Beacon Essential Seven Recipe competition”, Unilever Foodsolutions, Brooke House, Manor Royal, RH10 9RQ no later than 31/08/08..

15. Each Winner hereby grants the Promoter a non-exclusive royalty free and perpetual licence to use their recipe in Unilever Foodsolutions promotional and advertising materials.  Each Prize Winner agrees to execute all such documents as may be required to perfect the licence granted. 

16. Each Winner hereby agrees to irrevocably and unconditionally waive any rights to be identified as the author of the recipes and other moral rights which the Prize Winner may have now or obtain in the future. The Promoter agrees to accredit the Prize Winners as author of their recipe when possible.
17. Any Prize Winner may be required to participate in publicity arising from this Competition.

18. By entering the Competition, the Entrants are deemed to accept and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of this Competition and any other purposes to which the Entrant has consented. All entry instructions form part of the rules.

19. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
