Apple and Cinnamon Crumble 5-11 Years (Flora Buttery)

 
 

Ingredients (10 persons)

675gApples canned in juice and sliced
100gPlain flour
10gWholemeal flour
100gQuick oats
75gFLORA Buttery Spread 2kg 
10gCinnamon (powder)
100gBrown sugar

Preparation

Advance Preparation
Pre-heat the oven to 180ºC(350ºF)Gas Mark 4. Warm the serving dishes. Prepare a baking dish by lightly greasing with margarine. Prepare the apples by washing, coring, peeling, quartering and slicing.

Method
1. Place the apples in the prepared baking dish.

2. Rub all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl together with the margarine until a crumbly sandy texture is formed.

3. Place the crumble mixture on top of the apples and bake in the pre heated oven for approximately 45 minutes or until the crumble mix is
golden brown.

4. Remove from the oven and serve in warmed dishes.

Service Hint
Serve with either Custard 120g portion, Ice cream 85g portion, Low fat yogurt up to 150g.

Handy Hint
Consider leaving the skin on the apple which will save considerable waste, time and also enhance the fibre content of the dish.
