Creamy Pasta Carbonara

Preparation
Advance preparation
Wash and prepare the mushrooms into quarters. Cook the pasta as per the manufacturers instructions, wash, refresh and store in a covered container until required for use
Method
1. Place the oil in a suitable pan. Add the bacon and mushrooms and cook until bacon is golden and mushroom are tender.
2. Add the cream, bring to the boil rapidly and reduce to desired consistency.
3. Add the cooked pasta and heat through for 2-3 minutes. Drizzle with a little olive oil (optional).
4. Serve centre of a warmed plate/bowl with crusty bread and garnished with parmesan cheese.
Service Hint
Serve with garlic bread made form FLORA Buttery and KNORR Garlic Herb Puree.
Handy Hint

Healthy Hint
Added salt is not recommended but if used keep to a minimum . If using oil use unsaturated (olive or sunflower) and reduce the quantity used where possible. This helps to provide a nutritional balanced dish.
