Herby Pork Sausages with a Creamy Mustard Dipping Sauce

750gSausage, beef
300mlMeadowland Double – the benefits of double cream without the disadvantages 
25gCOLMAN'S Dijon Mustard  
15mlJIF Lemon Juice 250ml 

Preparation

Advanced preparation.
Warm the serving platter. Pre-heat grill to maximum.

Method

1.Place the sausages on to a suitable baking tray and place under grill, Cook till thoroughly cooked and golden in color.
2. Decant the culinary doulbe in to a heavy bottomed sauce pan and bring to the simmer, simmer gently until slightly reduced.
3. Add in the mustard and the lemon juice to taste whisk to combine.
4. Serve the sausages on a suitable platter with a pot of cocktail sticks and a pot of the mustard sauce.

Service Hint
This can be served as a main course by serving the sausages on mash potatoes and spooning the sauce over.

Handy Hint
Different flavoured sausages could be used instead of the chipolata’s and also different flavourings for the cream sauce could be used.

Healthy Hint
Keep added salt to a minimum. Use an unsaturated oil (olive or sunflower) and reduce the quantity used. This helps to provide a healthy balanced dish.
Although Meadowland is a healthier alternative to cream please note that these recipes are indulgent recipes.
