Caramelised Pork Chops with Creamy Apple Sauce

20gKNORR PROFESSIONAL Pureed Herbs Garlic  
50mlSunflower oil
450gApple quartered and cored
45gBrown sugar
400mlCOLMAN'S Bramley Apple Sauce  
50mlMeadowland Double – the benefits of double cream without the disadvantages 
35mlCOLMAN'S Dijon Mustard  
10gFlat leaf Parsley washed and chopped

Preparation

Advance Preparation
Pre heat a grill. Warm serving dishes. Prepare ingredients as directed.

Method
1. Brush the chops with the garlic purée and oil, allow to marinade for a minimum of 1 hour prior to use. Cover, label and refrigerate until required.

2. Place the pork chops under the grill and cook for around 10 minutes turning once to allow even colouring. Once the pork is almost cooked, add the cored apples and sugar and cook for a further few minutes.

3. Mix the COLMAN'S Apple Sauce with the cream and Dijon mustard, bring to the boil and keep warm.

4. Serve the chops centre of plate with the sauce spooned over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Service Hint
Serve with boiled potatoes and steamed vegetables.

Handy Hint
Duck or chicken breast could be used as an alternative to the pork.

Healthy Nutritional Advice
Added salt is not recommended but if used keep to a minimum. If using oil use unsaturated (olive or sunflower) and reduce the quantity used where possible. This helps to provide a nutritional balanced dish.
