With national lockdown restrictions being eased, the government has launched a new scheme to encourage customers to eat out. 'Eat Out to Help Out' aims to provide a much-needed boost to the hospitality industry.
How does it work?
It works my giving people a discount per diner of up to 50% or up to a maximum of £10 when eating or drinking soft drinks in participating food establishments, and will be running all day Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 3rd to 31st August.
How can you take part?
You can join the scheme at any point. Simply register online via this link: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/register-your-establishment-for-the-eat-out-to-help-out-scheme
To be eligible, you must have a designated dining or drinking area, or access to one, and have been registered with your local authority since at least 7 July 2020. Great news: you can also apply if you have been enrolled in the furlough scheme.
After registering, you can claim the money back and have it refunded within five working days.

Let your customers know you have signed up
The Government is offering promotional materials to help you market the scheme and share the news that you are taking part with your customers.
