Preparation

Advanced Preparation.
Warm serving plates. Prepare the ingredients as above.

Method
1. Heat the oil in a suitable pan over a high heat.

2. Add the beef strips and fry until golden in colour and cooked rare. Add the cognac and flame to remove alcohol. Remove the meat and keep warm.

3. Melt the FLORA in the same pan over a medium heat, add the onions, mushrooms, peppers, gherkins and paprika puree.

4. Deglaze the pan with the wine. Add the demi glace and the cream, reduce to the required consistency. Return the meat to the sauce and bring back to temperature.

5. Serve the stroganoff centre of plate with sour cream and a sprinkle of paprika powder.

Service Hint
Serve with KNORR long grain rice and or crusty bread.

Handy Hint
The beef can be swapped for pork, chicken or vegetables.

Healthy Hint.
Added salt is not recommended but if used keep to a minimum . If using oil use unsaturated (olive or sunflower) and reduce the quantity used where possible. This helps to provide a nutritional balanced dish.
Although Meadowland is a healthier alternative to cream please note that these recipes are indulgent recipes.
