  1. The British Roast Dinner Week Competition 2018 (the “Competition”) and prize draw (the “Prize Draw”) is open only to pubs who serve a roast dinner at least once a week and are located and registered within England, Wales or Scotland. Employees must seek the permission of their employer in order to enter the establishment into the promotion.
  2. No purchase necessary. To enter, go to www.ufs.com/brdw and complete the online entry form.  Entrants will be automatically entered into the Competition and the Prize Draw.
  3. Entrants will be subdivided into the following regions; South East, South West, Midland & Wales and North & Scotland (“Regions”).
  4. All entries to the Competition will also be automatically entered into the Prize Draw to win a Tablet 128GB grey. There is one Tablet 128GB grey to be won.
  5. Start Date: 6 August 2018. Closing date for receipt of entries is 00.00 GMT on 30 September 2018. All entries must be received by the closing date. Any entries submitted after the closing date will not be entered.
  6. Entry must be made online at www.ufs.com/brdw . One entry per person and per establishment.
  7. Prizes:
    1. Prize Draw: One winner. The first entry drawn at random by using a random generator from all entries received by the closing date will win the tablet. The tablet will be sent to the winner by post. In the event of any dispute the decision of the judge is final. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative of equal or greater value. No correspondence will be entered into.
    2. Competition:
      • Shortlist Nominees: All entrants that are subjected to mystery dining in Round 3 will receive a framed certificate.
      • Regional Winners: The four winners (one winner from each Region) will each receive a framed certificate and a Chefs Jacket.
      • Overall Winner: One overall winner of the Competition will receive a framed certificate, £5,000 of Kitchen Equipment Vouchers, 200,000 UFS Chef Reward Points, and a Chef’s Jacket.
  8. All prizes will be subject to any additional terms and conditions of the supplier of the prize to the Promoter. In relation to the vouchers for kitchen equipment these must be used within 12 months of winning notification. Full Chef Rewards T&Cs are applicable to the Chef Rewards scheme which can be found at www.ufschefrewards.com.
  9. The entry to the Competition shall be the entrant’s own work. By entering the Competition each entrant warrants that their entry shall not have been previously published or exploited in any part and will not infringe any copyright, right of privacy, right of publicity or personality or any other right whatsoever of any third party.
  10. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by a computer will be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries or those not in accordance with the entry instructions will not be accepted.
  11. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or consequential damage of any nature in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise caused by acceptance of the terms and conditions.
  12. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries or nominations that are delayed, corrupted, lost/mislaid or otherwise rendered invalid, under the sole discretion of the Promoter, owing to technical errors or malfunctions.
  13. The winners must claim their prize within 7days of notification.   If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with the promotional rules.  
  14. The winners’ details (name and county) will be made available on request to those writing to the British Roast Dinner Week Competition 2018 and Prize Draw, Unilever Food Solutions, Unilever House, Springfield Dr, Leatherhead KT22 7GR within ten weeks after the winners are announced, enclosing a stamped SAE.
  15. British Roast Dinner Week Competition 2018:
    1. The Competition consists of 4 rounds – Shortlist, Mystery Dining, Regional winners announced and overall winner announced.
      • Round 1: Shortlist Nominees: Following registration, all entries received by the closing date will be reviewed by our expert panel in the presence of an independent judge.  The best 2 entries from each Region in the opinion of our panel will go through to Round 2. In total, 8 entrants will go through to Round 2. This shortlist of 8 entrants will be announced on the website www.ufs.com/brdw on the 1 October 2018 and nominees will also be contacted by email.
      • Round 2: Mystery Dining: The shortlist of 8 entries will be visited without prior notice for assessment between 01/10/2018 to 14/10/2018 by the mystery dining team who are a team of industry specialists. This team in the presence of an independent judge will judge their experience on the following judging criteria; equipment and set up, hygiene, value for money, staff (appearance and friendliness), food presentation, overall taste, taste of meat, vegetables, gravy and potatoes.  Scoring criteria is available at www.ufs.com/brdw.
      • Round 3: Regional Winners: all entries that are subjected to mystery dining in Round 2 are assessed by our industry specialists in the presence of an independent judge and one winner for each of the Regions (four winners in total) will be picked and will be announced on the website www.ufs.com/brdw and on Unilever Food Solutions’ social media channels on the 15 October 2018 and will be contacted by email.
      • Final Round: Overall Winner The overall winner will be picked by our industry specialists in the presence of an independent judge from the four winners of Round 3 regional winners round and will be announced on the website www.ufs.com/brdw and on Unilever Food Solutions’ social media channels on the 15 October 2018 and will be contacted by email.
  16. No cash alternatives will be offered.
  17. A promotional video will be created interviewing the overall winner of the Competition as the Promoter’s British Roast Dinner Week of the Year 2018 Competition Winner that will feature on the website www.ufs.com/brdw and on Unilever Food Solutions’ social media channels as well as shared with media.
  18. All entrants who reach Round 3 may be required to participate in publicity arising from this Competition.
    • By entering the Competition and Prize Draw, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller and its third party suppliers for the purposes of the administration of this Competition and Prize Draw and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.
    • The personal data will be processed in accordance with the Data Controller’s Privacy Policy, which is available at http://www.unileverprivacypolicy.com/en_gb/policy.aspx.  All entry instructions form part of the rules.
  19. By submitting your entry, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, and make derivative works of your entry in any media and through any media channel.
  20.  These terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Entrants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any such dispute or issues.
