Healthcare Great British Roast Competition

Terms and Conditions 

  1. This KNORR Professional competition promotion is open Caterplus and Elior employees only aged 18 or over only. Employees must obtain their respective employer’s consent to enter. 
  2. To enter, you will need to make a Roast Dinner and visit www.ufs.com/greatroast and complete the entry form. Within the entry form, you must enter your First Name, Last Name, Email Address (employee email address required) and Phone Number. On the entry form,you must also:  
    1. Tell us the name of your catering establishment (Caterplus or Elior);
    2. Upload a a photograph of the roast dinner being entered into the competition to the entry form under the section stating ‘upload a photograph of your Roast Dinner Entry’ on the webpage; and  
    3. Provide a description of the roast dinner within the entry form in the description box. The description must include details of which 1x meat choice or vegetarian/vegan option, 2x vegetables, 1x potato dish and the 2x minimum Knorr products that were used (as per Clause 2 below) at  the entrant’s choice.
  3. Competition Criteria: The Roast Dinner entry to consist of 1x Meat choice or Vegetarian/Vegan option, 2x vegetables of the entrant’s choice, 1x potato dish (of any kind, at the entrant’s choice), a sauce of the entrant’s choice A minimum of 2X Knorr products must be used to make the roast dinner meal entry submission from the following list
    • Knorr Beef Paste Bouillon 
    • Knorr Chicken Paste Bouillon
    • Knorr Vegetable Paste Bouillon 
    • Knorr Garlic Pure
    • Knorr Ginger Puree 
    • Knorr Gravy Granules Meat 25 Litre
    • Knorr Gravy Granules Poultry 25 Litre
    • Knorr Bechamel Sauce
    • COLMAN DIJON MUSTARD
    • COLMAN ENGLISH MUSTARD
    • COLMAN FRESH GDN MINT PET
    • COLMAN HORSERADISH SAUCE
    • COLMAN WHOLEGRAIN MUSTARD
  4. The opening date for entries is 08:00 GMT on 23/02/2023 and the closing date for receipt of entries is 23:59 BST on 14/4/2023.
  5. The competition is not limited to one entry per establishment. The competition is limited to one entry per employee within Caterplus and Elior.
  6. No applications from agents, third-parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by a computer will be accepted.  Any incomplete or corrupted entries will not be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions herein.
  7.  Each entry:
    • must be suitable for display and publication online and should not be obscene or indecent (including but not limited to nudity, pornography or profanity), it must not contain defamatory statements or words or symbols that are offensive either generally or to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic group. It must not include threats to any person, place, business or group, it must not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm or entity, and it must not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations or network standards.
    •  must not contain or refer to any products other than those of Knorr and it must not contain or reference any third-party trademarks or logos (other than those of Knorr) unless such inclusion is merely incidental and is not unduly prominent and as long as it is included with due cause and in such a way that it does not take unfair advantage of any third-party trademarks; and 
    •  must be the entrant’s own work and must not contain any copyright protected works (other than as owned by the entrant).
  8. If any group of people elects to collaborate on a submission, they are required to designate one person as the agent of the group to enter the promotion, to agree to these terms and conditions, and accept the prize on behalf of the group.
  9. Entries received in connection with this promotion may be reviewed by the Promoter or a third party moderator after they have been placed online to confirm they comply with these terms and conditions. If any such entries are or could reasonably be construed as being unlawful or contrary to these terms and conditions, we may remove them from [/  www.ufs.com/greatroast ] immediately. The Promoter reserves the right to delete or remove any published entries from [lwww.ufs.com/greatroast ] at any time without prior notice to entrants.
  10.  If you submit an entry that includes material the rights of which are owned by a third party, including intellectual property rights such as copyright and trademarks, you will be responsible for any legal action that party may take against you.
  11. Entrants shall indemnify and hold the Promoter and their respective affiliates, directors, agents, or other partners (“the Indemnitees”) harmless from any claims, actions, proceedings, costs (including reasonable legal fees) and expenses brought or asserted by a third-party against any of the Indemnitees arising as a result of the Promoter’s use of the entrant’s submission including but not limited to any breach of third-party intellectual property rights.
  12. By participating in this promotion, you agree to release, discharge and hold us harmless from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from your participation in this promotion (save that nothing shall limit our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
  13. By submitting your entry, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, and make derivative works of your entry in any media and through any media channel.
  14. No responsibility is accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
  15.  There will be a total of one winner for the Heathcare Great British Roast Competition 2023. The winner will be chosen on the basis of the best roast meat or Vegan/ Vegetarian Roast Dinner, in line with the competition entry requirements outlined in Clause 2. The winner will receive the following prizes: 
    • A £200 voucher for a meal at Tom Kerridge’s restaurant ‘The Hand and Flowers’ (Address: 126 West Street, Marlow, Wycombe, South East England SL7 2BP). The winner will be responsible for covering any additional costs and expenditure at the restaurant. Voucher T&Cs will apply.  
    • A cash prize value of £150 will be given to the winner which will be sent to the winner by cheque.  The Promoter will confirm further details on how they will send the cheque to the winner within a week after the competition has ended; and
    • One framed Healthcare  Knorr British Roast off Winner certificate; awarded by Knorr from the Unilever chef team. 
  16. As per Clause 15(a), one of the winner’s prizes is ‘The Hand and Flowers’ voucher. Voucher specifics are as follows:
    • Use of the voucher is subject to the terms and conditions on the voucher and the regulations in force at the applicable venue. The voucher may not be resold under any circumstances. 
    • All vouchers are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and non-refundable and there is no cash alternative in whole or in part unless otherwise stated above.
    • Allocation of all prize voucher will be at the sole discretion of the Promoter. 
    • The voucher is redeemable at any time but the voucher must be redeemed within 24 months between 10th April 2023 to 10th April 2025. Monday to Friday between 12pm – 2:30pm or 6:30pm – 9:15pm. Sunday between 12pm -5pm
    • The voucher is redeemable in the UK only.  
    • The voucher is redeemable for  24 months as per clause 17(d).
  17. The voucher prize includes the voucher only and does not cover any costs related to travel, accommodation or any other expense of any kind. 
  18. The judging process will occur in two rounds
    • Round 1: All entries received by the closing date will be reviewed by the Unilever chef team. The chef, James Birch will decide on a shortlist of 5 entrants in total who will proceed to Round 2, based on the following judging criteria:
    • A video testimonial from a resident of that care home; 
    • a photograph of the roast dinner being entered into the competition;
    • and a description of the roast dinner.  
    • The 5 shortlisted entrants will be notified by email or telephone (using the details as specified in their submitted entry form upon initial entry to the competition) between 15/04/2023 – 29/04/2022 if they have been selected for assessment under the Round 2 selection criteria.
    • Round 2: The 5 shortlisted entrants will be contacted by email or telephone (using the details as specified in their submitted entry form upon initial entry to the competition) to attend the Unilever Leatherhead chefmanship centre for the final round on the 17/05/2023. Details including date and timings of the day that Round 2 that will be held will be confirmed to the 5 shortlisted entrants at this stage. The 5 shortlisted entrants will be required to serve either a meat or a vegetarian/vegan roast (at the entrant’s choice) to the Unilever chef team and will judge their experience on the following judging criteria:
    • Food presentation;
    • Overall taste and 
    • Quality of the ingredients. 
    • The winner will win the prize package outlined at clause 15.
    • In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Promoter is final. In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative of equal or greater value. No correspondence will be entered into.
    • The winner will be notified on the 17/05/2023 whilst all shortlisted chefs are together in the Unilever Leatherhead chefmanship centre.
    • The winner and shortlisted entrants may be filmed, photographed, and interviewed by the Promoter or on our behalf following the winners’ announcement. The winner and shortlisted entrants grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute and make derivative works of such footage, photographs, and testimonials in any media and through any media channel.
    • The winner and shortlisted entrant may be required to participate in publicity arising from this promotion.
    • By entering the promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of this promotion and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.  The personal data will be processed in accordance with the Data Controller’s Privacy Policy, which is available at http://www.unileverprivacypolicy.com/en_gb/policy.aspx. All entry instructions form part of the rules. 
  19. These terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Entrants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any such dispute or issues.
