The chef crowned The 2023 Healthcare Great British Roast Competition Winner will be awarded:

  • £200 voucher at Tom Kerridge’s Restaurant The Hand and Flowers
  • £150 cash prize

How does it work?

The competition is open to any Caterplus/Elior care homes serving a meat or vegetarian roast to their residents.

Simply, upload a picture of your roast and write a short description about your roast dinner. Plus a few extra personal and business details in the form below – and that’s it!

Our expert chef team will conduct paper judging in April and May before shortlisted entrants will be informed. They will then be invited to our chefmanship centre located in our Leatherhead office for a final round to cook their roast dinners in front of our panel of chefs and Knorr team. 

What needs to be included:

2 Knorr products must be included from the following list:

  • Knorr Vegetable Boullion Paste Tub 2x1kg
  • Knorr Gluten Free Gravy Granules for Meat Dishes 25L
  • Knorr Gluten Free Gravy Granules for Poultry Dishes 25L
  • Knorr Professional Garlic Puree 750g
  • Knorr Professional Ginger Puree 750g
  • Knorr Garde D’or Bechamel Ready-To-Use sauce 6x1L
  • Colman’s Mustard Jar Dijon 2x2.5L
  • Colman’s Mustard Jar English 2x2.5L
  • Colman’s Mustard Jar Wholegrain 2x2.5L
  • Colman’s Fresh Garden Mint 2.25L

Open to Caterplus and Elior Employees  aged 18+. Competition opens 08:00 GMT on 23/02/2023 and closes 23:59 BST on 14/04/2022. To be selected for participating in the competition: Make a roast dinner using (all at the entrant’s choice) including 1x Meat choice or Vegetarian/Vegan option, 2x vegetables and 1x sauce using a minimum of 2x Knorr products choosing from the list below: Knorr Beef Paste Bouillon, Knorr Chicken Paste Bouillon, Knorr Vegetable Paste Bouillon, Knorr Garlic Puree, Knorr Ginger Puree, Knorr Gravy Granules Meat 25 Litre, Knorr Gravy Granules Poultry 25 Litre, Knorr Bechamel Sauce, Colman’s Dijon Mustard, Colman’s English Mustard, Colman’s Fresh GDN Mint sauce, Colman’s Horseradish sauce, Colman’s Wholegrain mustard. Visit ufs.com/greatroast and complete and submit the entry form including the name of catering establishment, uploading a photo of your roast dinner entry to the section within the webpage stating ‘Upload a photo of your roast dinner entry’ and provide a full description of the Roast Dinner with details of the entrant’s choice of ingredients as per the requirements above. There will be 5 shortlisted entrants selected for the final round of the competition. If selected, each of the 5 shortlisted entrants will be invited to the Unilever Chefmanship Centre in Leatherhead for the final round of the competition. One entry per employee within the Healthcare establishment. 1 winner. A total of 1 prize package available.
