For the jerk buttermilk fried chicken:

  • KNORR Jamaican Jerk Paste 1.1 kg 90.0 g
  • Buttermilk 300.0 ml
  • Chicken breast, skinless 1.0 kg

For the jerk and honey dip:

  • KNORR Jamaican Jerk Paste 1.1 kg 120.0 g
  • Tomato ketchup 200.0 g
  • Honey 60.0 g

To serve:

  • Plain flour 600.0 g

Preparation

  1. Advance Preparation:

    • Preheat a deep fat fryer to 180°C.
    • Cut the chicken into long strips.
  2. For the jerk buttermilk fried chicken:

    • Mix the KNORR Jerk Paste andbuttermilk together then pour over the chicken and make sure it is fully covered.
    • Leave to marinate overnight.
  3. For the jerk and honey dip:

    • Put the tomato ketchup, KNORR Jerk Paste and honey in a bowl and whisk together.
  4. To serve:

    • Coat the chicken in flour then deep fry for 3-4 min. or until cooked through and golden.
    • Place the chicken either on a plate or disposable container and serve with the Jerk and honey dip.
